Hi, I’m Joy Bergh

I’m a clinician—but also a survivor, a mother, and a witness to what traditional psychiatry too often misses.

The amount of time I listen to patients is much longer than other providers.  Clients are not just answering a ton of one-liner questions.  I use holistic information that is drawn from the patient, like diet, exercise, purpose in life, or spirituality.

I have the ability to see a patient’s situation and reflect the goodness within them and within their situation that offers a sense of hope for the future.

My Approach

You’re not a case.
You’re not a diagnosis.
You’re a human who’s held it together long enough and you’re ready to feel better, for real.

I will build a healing plan that honors your story, your rhythms, your values.

That might include meds. Or therapy. Or lab work. Or gut health. Or prayer. Or all of it.

How I Help

I don’t believe in quick fixes or one-size-fits-all solutions.
I believe in care that actually fits your life.

Together, we’ll choose the tools that feel right for you.

  • I prescribe conservatively and collaboratively. You won’t be pushed into something you’re not comfortable with—but if meds help you feel more like yourself again, we’ll find the lowest effective dose and adjust as needed.

  • Supportive, nonjudgmental therapy using CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and a whole-person lens. We’ll work through patterns, beliefs, and stuck places—without rushing or pushing past what’s real.

  • Your brain is connected to everything—your gut, your hormones, your sleep. We’ll look at what might be contributing to your difficulty with focus, mental overwhelm, or inconsistent energy, and explore simple, realistic changes that support mental clarity, regulation, and sustained attention.

  • If you're open to non-pharmaceutical support, I’ll guide you through safe, effective options for stress, focus, energy, and mood.

  • Want to bring faith into the conversation? I’m here for that, too. We are body, mind and spirit, so I offer a spiritual approach to healing that honors your story and life. You don’t have to separate your faith from your mental health. Here, they can walk side by side and I’m happy to pray with you.
